Kapuspen claims TNI HQ never ordered to remove billboards Habib Rizieq: National Okezone

JAKARTA – The head of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen), Major General Achmad Riyadh, emphasized that no senior officer in the ranks of the TNI headquarters (Mabes) has ever given orders to tear down the billboards of the Great Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab.

According to him, the order was only in the ranks of the Jayakarta (Kodam Jaya) Military Region Command.

Riyadh’s statement answered the viral video question of Habib Rizieq Shihab’s removal of the large billboard by several men in striped clothing and the statement by Jakarta’s military commander, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, who admitted that this activity was his order.

“There is no (order) to remove billboards at Headquarters. That is Commander Kodam’s own policy, because he sees the situation in the field,” Riyadh said when confirmed by phone on Sunday (11/22/2020) .

When he further confirmed how TNI headquarters’ attitude responded to Pangdam Jaya’s policy, he was reluctant to comment further.

Earlier, Pangdam Major General Jaya Dudung Abdurachman admitted that the removal of the Rizieq Shihab billboards by a group of men in striped clothing was his order. According to Dudung, the recall was carried out because several attempts to recall the police officers failed because the billboards were re-installed after being removed.

“Okay, somebody in a striped shirt takes down Habib Rizieq’s billboard, that’s my order,” Dudung said, after simultaneous disaster preparedness and regional elections, at Monas Cross Field, Central Jakarta, on Friday ( 11/20/2020) in the morning.

The two-star general explained that the striped men came from the garrison. Dudung said, Satpol PP often had trouble slowing down the banners.

“Because several times the Satpol PP has lowered it, raised it again. My orders are. Look, if there is anyone in this Republic, whoever it is, this is a rule of law. You must obey the law, ”explained Dudung.
