JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – A group of Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) sympathizers prevented police from spraying disinfectant at FPI Petamburan headquarters, Jakarta on Sunday (11/22/2020).

Residents refused to spray disinfectant liquid. However, after negotiating, the residents finally gave permission to carry out the fumigation.

With a note, the neighbors asked that not all the agents who came to enter the area be sterilized.

According to Kompas TV observations, residents packed the venue after learning of the arrival of several joint TNI and Polri officers in the afternoon.

Before spraying disinfectants, officials first asked local residents for permission to actively spray to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

“We are officers from the Petamburan crossing accompanied by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief requesting permission to spray disinfectants at Petamburan III. Hopefully we are all healthy,” said a police officer, Ginanjar, in Petamburan, Central Jakarta.
