REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya together with the Jaya Regional Military Command (Kodam Jaya) sprayed disinfectants in the Petamburan area following the emergence of the Covid-19 Petamburan cluster.

When the fumigation was carried out, several people were seen lining up at the end of Jalan Petemburan III, the location of the FPI headquarters.

Spraying was carried out using two water cannons. A car sprays disinfectant in the direction of Tanah Abang. The other is from Slipi’s direction.

The car appeared to be escorted by a patrol car with the words “Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya” written on it. Several officers with dirt bikes and trucks were also seen accompanying the withdrawal process.

“Good afternoon. Please give permission to the surrounding community, we from the Jakarta Metro Police are spraying disinfectant,” police said through a loudspeaker from the patrol car.

During the fumigation, several people were seen on guard at the end of Jalan Petamburan III. Meanwhile, the flow of traffic remained fluid as the water cannon cart continued to spray disinfectant.

Meanwhile, at SDN 01 Petamburan, Jalan Petamburan IV, the police are conducting a quick test on local residents. The Chief of Police of the Central Jakarta Metro, Senior Commissioner Heru Novianto, appeared to be present to monitor this activity.

The police have yet to provide information to the media team about these two activities in Petamburan.

However, some residents of Jalan Petamburan III were said to be reluctant to have their houses sprayed. Including the home of FPI leader Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS).

This was revealed when the Chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran, the Chief of Staff of the Regional Military Command, Brigadier General Muhammad Saleh Mustafa, and the Chief of the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Mr. Comr . Heru Novianto, gave information to the media in Petamburan.

Officers came to Petamburan to monitor free rapid test activities at SDN 01-03 Petamburan, Jalan Petamburan IV, Kelurahan Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon (11/22).

When asked about the journalists’ refusal to spray disinfectant, Fadil was shocked. “Yes Is there anyone who rejects the Chief of Police? ”He confirmed to Heru.

“There was (rejection) from residents where Habib didn’t like it because they wanted PPSU (Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management) officers,” Heru replied.

Fadil later said that those who refused to spray disinfectants would suffer their own losses. Because the purpose of the spray is good, that is, to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.

“If we refuse to lose ourselves because our goal is only for humanity. If we refuse, people will know what is good and what is bad,” said Fadil.

Heru explained that there were indeed several people who refused to have their houses sprayed. “Yes (one of them is the HRS house),” he said.

Part of the reason is that your home has been sprayed with disinfectant. Some others just wanted to be sprayed by PPSU agents.

“Yes, we passed. Because can the order was our chief of police can It helps, if those who feel they have helped us, we will look for others, ”said Heru.

Heru emphasized that his party would not force people to want to spray their houses.

Earlier on Saturday (11/14), HRS held a birthday ceremony for Prophet Muhammad SAW as well as the wedding of his daughter at the FPI headquarters, Jalan Petamburan III. At that time thousands of people attended. They were gathered together and some were not wearing masks.

Later, it was discovered that there were seven people who tested positive for Covid-19 from the Petamburan group. One of them is Lurah Petamburan Setiyanto.
