Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Central Jakarta Police Chief Heru Novianto said his party was rejected when he asked the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Rizieq Shihab perform a swab test to make sure you’re not exposed COVID-19. This was done because news emerged that Rizieq was ill due to exposure to Covid-19.
The request was relayed by his men last night, Saturday (11/21), while directly visiting Rizieq’s residence in Petamburan, central Jakarta.
“Yesterday I was there, without offering, yesterday we had information that Habib was sick. (The police) check on sick citizens and who knows they need help. That’s why we came to ask,” Heru said in SD 01-03 Petamburan, Jakarta . Center, Sunday (11/22).
However, Heru said, when they arrived, the family immediately refused, saying Rizieq was unable to receive guests because it was too late.
After that, his group also asked Rizieq to immediately perform a swab test. If you do not want to be assisted by the authorities and the government, you can take the test independently.
“Yes, so since you cannot enter, only from the guards, we will say that if there is indeed a disease in the news, it is suspected to be covid, so please take out the swab,” Heru said.
Heru said Rizieq would conduct an independent swab test and refused help from the government and police.
The undersecretary general of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Aziz Yanuar confirmed the rejection of the Rizieq test offered by the authorities and the government. Aziz reasoned that his swab to the Great Magnet would be done by the health team itself.
After all, Aziz said, Rizieq himself is currently in a healthy and fit condition, so there is nothing to worry about about his condition.
“For hyssop, we have a team from HILMI and MER C, so the government does not need to worry and give priority to HRS (Rizieq) and FPI,” Aziz said.
