JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Covid-19 transmission in Indonesia continues and has shown no signs of abating. On Sunday (11/22/2020), new cases of Covid-19 increased by 4,360.
Therefore, the total number of patients infected with Covid-19 in Indonesia since the first case was announced on March 2 was 497,688. The addition of 4,360 cases occurred in the last 24 hours.
The data was published by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force on the site www. covid-19.go.id on Sunday afternoon. The public can also access the data.
DKI Jakarta was recorded as the province with the highest number of cases, that is, 1,342 cases.
Followed by Central Java (477 cases), West Java (372 cases), East Java (372 cases), East Java (295 cases) and West Sumatra (299 cases).

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered on Sunday afternoon increased by 4,233 people. Therefore, the total number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered is 418,188 people.
They were declared cured after twice subjected to swab tests (PCR swabs) with negative results.
The number of Covid-19 patients who died in the last 24 hours was 110 people. Therefore, the total number of Covid-19 patients who died was 15,884 people.
In addition, the government also reported the number of specimens analyzed during the last 24 hours, that is, 35,989 samples. Of these samples, 26,535 people were analyzed.
Meanwhile, the total of specimens and people examined up to November 22 were 5,340,537 and 3,553,142, respectively. Then the government also reported on the number of Covid-19 suspects up to 64,502 people.
A person is called a Covid-19 suspect if they have an acute respiratory infection (ISPA) and in the last 14 days before symptoms develop, have a travel history, or live in a country / region in Indonesia that reports transmission local.

The term suspect also refers to a person with one of the ARF symptoms / signs and in the last 14 days before symptoms appeared had a history of contact with a confirmed / probable Covid-19 case.
