He was originally a red beret infantryman, also known as Kopassus. In the special forces, Agus was registered as the Commander of Battalion 22 Group 2 to the Chief of Information of the Kopassus.
After leaving Kopassus, in 2009 he was registered as Military District 0735 / Solo Commander.
After two years in office, Agus was transferred to Assistant Deputy Operations Division 2 / Kostrad. Subsequently, he assumed the position of Operations Assistant for Kasdam I / Bukit Barisan in 2014.
Three years later, he was appointed Commander of the Main Regiment of Regional Military Command II / Sriwijaya.
Soon after, Agus became the commander of Korem 132 / Tadulako. Then in 2019 he served as Wadanpussenif Kodiklatad.
Until he finally became Danrem Suryakencana in March 2020. His position as a regiment commander in the Bogor area was quite special, because the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his family lived in the palace in the rainy city every day.
Besides in Bogor, also in Surakarta when Jokowi was still mayor there, Agus Subiyanto will now accompany and ensure the safety of Jokowi and his family as Danpaspampres.
