Videos of various tactical vehicles (rantis) belonging to the TNI Special Operations Command (Koopssus) passing through Petamburan, Central Jakarta (Jakpus), went viral on social media (medsos). Netizens say the romantic belonging to the elite TNI troops is in a show of force (show of force).
The incident was related to the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) because the group of vehicles stopped near the rainbow of the FPI DPP in Jl KS Tubun, Petamburan, Central Jakarta.
The Commander of the Indonesian Military Command (Dankoopssus), Major General Richard Tampubolon, explained that there were no special incidents related to the group of vehicles. He said the group of vehicles was heading to headquarters in Cilangkap, in east Jakarta.
“On the way back to headquarters, the arrangement of the convoy must be careful on the road,” Major General Richard Tampubolon said when contacted on Thursday (11/19/2020).
Richard said that preparing these tactical vehicle convoys is in fact common TNI practice. This means, he said, that the traffic is safe according to the tactical vehicle group’s procedures.
“So it is safe for the group according to existing procedures,” he said.
