jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) decided to postpone the meeting that is scheduled for December 2, 2020 in Monas, Central Jakarta.

The postponement was in response to the police statement that they would not give permission on the event.

PA 212 President Slamet Ma’arif conveyed this delay in a press release as seen on the YouTube account Front TV, on Tuesday (11/17).

“The implementation of the 212 meeting in 2020 has been temporarily postponed as we look at the implementation of the Pilkada 2020. If there is a government announcement, the 212 meeting will still take place at the right time,” Slamet said.

Slamet Ma’arif continued, explaining that because it did not hold a meeting, PA 212 would hold a national dialogue. The event is expected to have the participation of 100 figures and academics.

“Subsequently, this national dialogue will have the presence of the high priest Habib Rizieq Shihab as a resource through the implementation of the Covid-19 prevention health protocol,” he said.

Previously, the Divhumas National Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, emphasized that his party would not issue a crowd permit related to the 212 meeting on December 2.

“So if there is still an incident, for example, people who want to ask the National Police for permission will not issue (permission),” Awi said in Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/17). (guinea pig / jpnn)
