TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Chief of the National Police, General Idham Azis, has dismissed Metro Jaya’s regional police chief, Inspector General Nana Sudjana. This removal is believed to be the consequence of an event organized by the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front, Rizieq Shihab.

In addition to Nana, Idham also removed Inspector General Rudy Sufahradi Novianto as Chief of the West Java Regional Police.

The head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that Nana and Heru were removed because they did not comply with orders related to the safeguarding of health protocols.

“There are two police chiefs who do not follow orders to enforce health protocols, so sanctions in the form of dismissal will be imposed on them, namely Metro Jaya Police Chief and Java Regional Police Chief Occidental, “Argo said at his office in South Jakarta on Monday, November 16, 2020.

The post of Chief of the Metro Jaya Regional Police will be filled by Inspector General Fadil Imran. Meanwhile, Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri will replace Rudy’s post.

Nana Sudjana became Kapolda Metro Jaya at the end of December 2019. Previously, she was the Head of the NTB Regional Police.
