Heverlee –
There were rumors that Gareth Southgate was positive for the corona virus. The England team coach confirmed it.
Positive rumors of Southgate’s crown spread ahead of England’s game against Belgium, to play the UEFA Nations League game, on Monday (11/16/2020) at the WIB in the morning.
In the news circulating, Soutghate tested positive for corona on October 25, 2020. He also had to undergo isolation at his residence in North Yorkshie.
Southgate himself ultimately failed to lead England to win, after being silenced 0-2 by Belgium. After the game, the 50-year-old coach confirmed the rumors circulating that he had indeed contracted COVID-19.
“Look, I have a virus. I’m lucky, it’s not as bad as what other people have experienced in our country,” Southgate said, as reported by BT Sport.
“But, yeah, it’s not fun. It’s not something you want. But everything is fine,” he explained.
Previously, the news that Southgate was positive for corona was questioned by British presenter Piers Morgan. Because he had contact with him before October 25.
“Well UK manager Gareth Southgate tested positive for Covid-19 on October 25th. I spoke to him on October 22nd at the GQ Heroes event, with the magazine editor,” Morgan tweeted.
“He did not tell us that he was positive three days ago. If the date is correct, this is very shameful,” he condemned.
