jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The head of the Presidential Personnel Office (KSP) Moeldoko confirmed that the government has never criminalized the ulama as expressed by Habib Rizieq Shihab.

According to Moeldoko, the word criminalization echoed by Rizieq was simply to provoke people’s emotions.

“Actually, there is no term that criminalizes the ulama, there is none. We do not know that term. And we do not want the ulama to be criminalized. The country protects the entire nation,” Moeldoko said in the KSP office in the presidential palace complex, in central Jakarta, on Thursday (11/12).

Therefore, the former TNI commander asked Rizieq who were the parties he referred to as responsible for the discrimination. This includes explaining the evidence related to people that Rizieq believes have been criminalized.

“Do not continue the language of criminalizing ulama. No. Sometimes, to generate emotion, these terms are presented. So I want to tell the Indonesian people that the state protects the entire nation and its citizens,” he said.

Moeldoko recalled that the government is also obliged to enforce the law of citizens who commit crimes. Because, if allowed, this country will be in chaos.

“Now, who is subject to the application of the law? Yes, they are the ones who are wrong. So do not be left behind, the state or the government criminalizes the ulama. There is nothing. What is criminalized are the ulama. they are wrong and there is evidence, “he explained. (tan / jpnn)
