Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) predicts that there will be three high ranking officers (Pati) Polri who will be promoted from two stars to three stars who will be listed as candidates for the Chief of the National Police. The National Police respects the predictions of IPW.
“Regarding the exchange of candidates for Chief of the National Police, we really respect the opinions of colleagues outside the National Police, external Polri regarding the National Police Stock Exchange,” said the Public Relations Division of the Karopenmas Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono at the Police Headquarters, on Thursday (11/12/2020).
Awi said that the appointment of the head of the National Police was the prerogative of the president. To that end, Awi asked all parties to be patient and wait until an official decision was made.
“Once again, the Police Headquarters respects the decision to address the Chief of Police as the prerogative of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Let us await the decision together later. Of course, in due time the President will determine it,” he said.
Previously, the president of the IPW Presidium, Neta S Pane, relayed the prediction of the exchange of candidates for Chief of the National Police. Neta said there were three Patis who would be promoted and would enter the National Police candidate market.
