JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government has launched a program of Productive Presidential Assistance (Banpres) or Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) of Rs 2.4 million, which is given to MSMEs to help them carry out their business activities again.
Cooperatives and SMEs Minister Teten Masduki said that while this assistance program has been expanded with an additional cap for 3 million female MSMEs, so far the number of enthusiasts remains high.
“Previously, the number of beneficiaries of this program was only 9.1 million, but because we got an additional 3 million from the president, that’s why we expanded it. Even though we have added beneficiaries, we see that there are still many who are interested. in getting help from this program, “Teten said. during a discussion of the 82 Years Sinar Mas webinar, Thursday (11/12/2020).

Teten said that up to 28 million MSME players signed up for this assistance.
Meanwhile, the number of MSME actors selected to receive this assistance is only 12 million business actors.
Therefore, he continued, the government is still evaluating the sustainability of this program until next year or at least until the first quarter of 2021.
“We are evaluating this to happen next year, maybe until the first quarter. Although the economic situation may be better, it may still be difficult for micro-enterprises,” Teten said.
So far, Teten said, the BLT program is still running as expected. This is because, on the ground, no misdirected cash aid has yet been found.
