The bomb explosion was reported to have occurred in aMuslim from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at a ceremony to mark the end of the First World War attended by several European diplomats, on Wednesday (11/11).
Diplomats from the French consulate were among those attending the commemoration, but there was no information on whether there were casualties on their part. Meanwhile, the French Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the attack.

Last month, the Saudis wounded a guard at the French consulate in Jeddah with a knife.
The incident occurred on the same day that a man armed with a knife killed three people in the Notre Dame Basilica Church in Nice, southern France, on Thursday (10/29).
“The attacker was arrested by the Saudi security forces immediately after the attack. The guard was taken to hospital and his life is not in danger,” the French embassy said in a statement. France24.
The victim is known to have sustained minor injuries.
Mecca province police said the attacker was a Saudi national, but did not specify the victim’s nationality.
The French embassy in Riyadh strongly condemned the attack and urged its citizens in Saudi Arabia to exercise “extreme vigilance.”
Neither the Saudi authorities nor the French embassy provided any indication of the motives for the attacks.
But the attacks came shortly after French President Emmanuel Macron defended the reissue of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad by the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo citing freedom of expression.
Macron’s defense of the cartoon comes after the brutal murder of French history professor Samuel Paty, who used the cartoon as teaching aids in his class on freedom of expression.
The Saudi Arabian side has criticized the cartoon and expressed resistance to any attempt to link Islam with terrorism.
Not only that, Macron’s attitude angered many Muslims and sparked protests in several countries. Many mobs burned photos of Macron and launched a campaign to boycott products made in France.
