KOMPAS.com- The Banten Regional Police exposed the circulation of fake honey from Banten which is dangerous if consumed.
Turns out the mastermind behind this fake honey business is a chicken noodle vendor with the initials MS.
Now, the police have arrested and put MS and two other people as suspects in the brain of this fake honey circulation.

1. In charge of a chicken noodle vendor
According to the MS author, before running a fake honey business, he was a chicken noodle vendor.
Regarding the location of EM sales in the Tanah Abang area, in central Jakarta.
Tempted by the image of multiple profits, MS also took advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to produce fake honey.
He rented a house in the Joglo, Kembangan, West Jakarta area.
The place became a factory that produced dangerous fake honey.

2. Trade one year, learn from YouTube
The MS fake honey factory has been running for about a year.
Initially, MS admitted that it only learned how to make fake honey through YouTube.
Starting from any mixture of ingredients, up to the dosage.
“You know the ingredients to make honey on the Internet, YouTube,” he said.

3. You only have one employee, you earn IDR 8 billion a year
It seems that MS only needs one employee to produce 1 ton of fake honey every day.
A drum of honey costs Rp.660,000. Meanwhile, each liter of fake honey sells for Rs 22,000.
With the help of a vendor, the honey is distributed to various regions of Java and outside of Java through online sales.
In one month he was able to make a profit of up to 8 billion rupees.
“For 1 year, the sales volume of typical Banten fake honey can generate Rp 8 billion,” said Dirkrimsus Polda Banten Kombes Nunung Safruddin.
According to the author’s confession, some of the earnings were given to the orphans and used for their daily needs.

4. Dangerous if consumed, can cause death.
If consumed continuously, this honey can be fatal.
Consumers can suffer from diabetes, heart disease, and the greatest risk is death.
“It can cause hippolic disease and poisoning that can lead to death,” said Akhrul Aprianto, Chief of the Pharmaceutical and Health Resources Division of the Banten Health Office.
The perpetrator used sugarcane waste food coloring.
They also use glucose and fructose to form a liquid that looks like honey.
Fake honey made with a mixture of dangerous substances like molasses, glucose, and fructose can cause illness.
“Long-term use causes diabetes or diabetes, obesity, and indigestion,” Akhrul said.
5. The role of the suspect
After receiving reports from the public. Police arrested three people involved.
This is MS (47), a resident of Kebon Melati, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, who owns a fake honey factory.
Then As (24), a Lebak Regency resident, Banten, became the seller.
Then Tm (35) a Pekalongan resident who is an employee of a fake honey factory.
The suspect MS is subject to article 140 together with article 86 paragraph (2), article 142 together with article 91 paragraph (1) of the UURI Number 18 of 2012, the threat of imprisonment of 2 (two) years or a maximum fine of IDR 4 billion.
And article 62 paragraph (1) in conjunction with article 8 paragraph (1) letter f will be punishable by imprisonment for a maximum of 5 (five) years or a maximum fine of IDR 2 billion.
The articles for the suspects of Ta y As, namely article 198 together with article 108 UURI Number 36 Year 2009, will be punished with a maximum fine of 100 million rupees.
