PDIP politician Henry Yosodiningrat went to Polda Metro Jaya to ask for a follow-up on his report on the leadership of the FPI, Habib Rizieq Syihab. Henry said there was no further reason for the police not to solve the case.
Henry himself made a report to Polda Metro Jaya about the alleged defamation committed by Habib Rizieq in 2017. At the time, the FPI leader accused Henry of being a politician with a communist lean.
“I have nothing to do with any party, but since I feel really insulted to say that a politician who is communist is said to be hostile to Muslims, it is said that a politician who is addressing the PDIP. I think it attacks my honor.” Henry told reporters. at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/11/2020).
At that time, the report presented by Henry had been received by Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. However, the investigation was carried out considering that Habib Rizieq flew and settled in Saudi Arabia.
“In the past, I could understand why the person in question was not in Indonesia. Now he arrived yesterday,” he said.
For this reason, Henry urged the police to reopen an investigation into the Habib Rizieq case. He said that currently the police apparatus had no reason not to continue the investigation process with Habib Rizieq.
“After I made a report, the police in question went to Umrah and did not return home for 3.5 years. I can understand it at the time. But now there is no reason not to follow up,” he said.
