MS, who previously worked as a chicken noodle vendor in the Tanah Abang area of ​​central Jakarta, was interested in making fake honey because he was tempted by the big profits.

Finally, MS rented a house in the Joglo, Kembangan area of ​​West Jakarta.

The house is used as a place for the production of fake honey.

“It has been almost a year, before the pandemic. Now, after the pandemic (Covid-19) there have been more requests,” said MS.

MS admits that he learned how to make fake honey on YouTube. The mixture of ingredients used to measure can be seen through a video on YouTube.

“Learn about the ingredients for making honey from the internet, YouTube,” said MS.

In one day, MS can produce 1 ton of fake honey.

According to MS’s statement to the police, it was only enough for one employee to make 1 ton of fake honey.

MS gave the price of 1 liter of fake honey which he made with Rs 22,000.

The honey is then packed into drums and 34 drums with a capacity of 30 liters are produced in one day.

A drum costs Rp.660,000.

The amount of income per day is around Rs 22.4 million.

In one month, you can generate a turnover of 673.2 million IDR.

“For 1 year, the sales volume of typical Banten fake honey can generate Rp 8 billion,” said Dirkrimsus Polda Banten Kombes Nunung Safruddin.
