The Grand Imam of the FPI, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab (Habib Rizieq), began his journey back to Indonesia. His plane took off from Saudi Arabia.

“I really don’t understand it, but based on the flight hours, I was on the plane,” said Maman Suryadi, commander of the Islamic Defense Forces (LPI), when contacted on Monday (September 11, 2020).

Aside from family, Maman said Habib Rizieq was also accompanied by a team from FPI. Mom suspected that the FPI team had entered the plane as well.

“We have a team of 19 people. We have not received any information from the team there, maybe they’ve already boarded a plane, their phones are off,” he said.

A similar sentiment was conveyed by one of FPI’s legal advisers, Azis Yanuar. Azis received word from one of the teams that accompanied Habib Rizieq’s return from Saudi Arabia.

“Alhamdulillah, it’s true. Alhamdulillah (no obstacles),” Azis said when contacted separately.

Scheduled at 7.30pm local time or 11.30pm WIB, Rizieq’s plane took off. The plane was from the Saudia airline with flight number SV816, which was taking off from the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah. Judging by the Flightradar24 website, the Saudia SV816 aircraft took off at 7:40 p.m. Jeddah time or 23.40 WIB.

The plane will land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng, on Tuesday (11/10) morning. Rizieq himself declared that he would land in Indonesia at 09.00 WIB.

“God willing, my family and I, Insyaallah, on Monday November 9, 2020 at 7.30pm Saudi Arabia time, we will fly from Jeddah airport on a Saudia plane,” Rizieq said on Front TV’s YouTube account, Wednesday (4/11).

In addition, the DKI deputy governor urged that many people to pick up Rizieq do not need:
