Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Goalie Daryono who once played for Persija Jakarta died on Monday (September 11). The following is the chronology of Daryono’s death.
Daryono joined Persija in 2012. At that time, the Semarang-born goalkeeper became Persija’s Under-21 team.
Successful in the U21s, Daryono was promoted to the first team. However, since that promotion, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has also been in Andritany Ardhiyasa’s shadow and has struggled to become the main goalkeeper.
The arrival of Shahar Ginanjar in mid-2018 left Daryono more marginalized in the capital team.
At the start of the 2019 League 1 season, Daryono decided to join Badak Lampung FC to get playing minutes.

Last October, Badak Lampung FC’s Instagram account posted that Daryono was receiving intensive care at the hospital for dengue hemorrhagic fever (DH).
Daryono was admitted to the ICU at Urip Sumoharjo Hospital, Lampung. However, due to requests from the family, he was referred to a hospital in Jakarta.

On Monday (September 11), Daryono breathed his last. Persija’s sports director Ferry Paulus conveyed his condolences via the official website.
“Daryono is a hardworking player. Before he got married, most of his salary was sent to his family and parents. His children were polite, never demanding and very religious,” said Ferry Paulus.
“Congratulations Daryono. May your works of worship be accepted by Him and may all sins be forgiven, as well as the families left behind with strength and perseverance,” added Ferry.
Daryono became one of the players who led Persija to success in the 2018 season. In addition to winning League 1 2018, in that season the Kemayoran Tigres won the Indonesian Cup and a Presidential Cup title.
