Dortmund –
Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick praised Borussia Dortmund’s performance that had worried his team. However, Die Roten is more deadly.
Bayern face a tough test when they have to travel to Signal-Iduna Park on Sunday (8/11/2020) early morning WIB, in the seventh week of the 2020/2021 German League week.
The two teams have 15 points and are only differentiated by goal difference. So from the first minute, the game got hot with the mutual attacks of Bayern and Dortmund.
The Bundesliga noted that Dortmund made 15 attempts, five on target, while Bayern managed half of 16 of 16. The tie broke out in the final minutes of the first half when Marco Reus fired the bait for Raphael Guerreiro.
However, in the first half of injury time, David Alaba made it 1-1 by taking a free kick. In the second half, Robert Lewandowski put Bayern ahead in the 48th minute, before Leroy Sane took the score to 3-1 in the 80th minute.
Erling Haaland had given Dortmund hope with a goal in the 83rd minute, but until the end of the match Bayern won 3-2. This is Bayern’s second consecutive victory in Dortmund after last season with a score of 1-0.
For Hansi Flick, this victory shows how dangerous and slippery Bayern’s attack line is. Despite Dortmund having a strong defense this season because they only conceded two goals before this match. But Bayern are smarter to take advantage of the opportunities that exist to be goals.
“A sensational match. Just look at the quality on the pitch, it’s extraordinary, then the two teams made a lot of chances. We were a little more lethal on goal, more efficient,” Hansi Flick said on the official Bundesliga website.
“This victory feels very deserved. Dortmund is very dangerous when we make a lot of mistakes. We have to be more patient so that situations like that don’t happen again,” he continued.
This victory saw Bayern Munich control the standings with 18 points, three points ahead of Dortmund in third place and two points ahead of RB Leipzig in second.
