Police said they were not ruling out the possibility that the witness status of the 6 people who had been questioned could be elevated to suspects.
“He does not rule out that possibility. We are still conducting investigations,” Probolinggo Police Chief AKBP Ferdy Irawan told reporters at Police Headquarters on Saturday (7/11/2020).
However, according to Ferdy, the public who spread false news about the viral video could also be suspicious. This will have a deterrent effect on other citizens from spreading fake news. So people get loud and uncomfortable with the news.
“We continue to develop and investigate to go after other suspects, the main disseminator of viral videos of the bodies of COVID-19 patients, who get their eyes out and turn them into hoaxes. We also provide a deterrent effect to other citizens to do not commit violations of criminal acts of the Constitution of the ITE, which make them noisy and restless, “said the police chief.
