Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

educational authorities DKI Jakarta regrets to inform guru with the initials TS to the police. TS is suspected of having carried out an act of containing SARA by inviting its target students to elect the student council president who is of the same religion in SMAN 58 Jakarta, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

Disdik DKI values that the margin of resolution of this case should be sufficiently handled in the educational field. Now, the DKI Disdik DKI is still processing exams and collecting evidence from the case requesting information from TS and the school.

“The question of informing the police is actually our Office of Education very regrettable. Because this is the scope of education, and the scope of the school is internal, especially those who report on behalf of students,” said the Chief of Educators and Education Staff of the DKI Jakarta Office of Education, Didih Hartaya, when contacted. CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (11/5).

“We are still studying it, we don’t want to be careless,” he added.

In this controversy, Didih said that SARA’s accusation was indicated as correct based on TS’s statement. However, so far his party has not been able to confirm whether TS violated the disciplinary rules or not and then impose sanctions on TS, because the documents and evidence were incomplete.

According to Didih, the evidence was still being completed by the Office of Education to be processed as soon as possible.

“It started with him [TS] He talks, but he’s only limited to the inner environment of the children he raised, because he’s a spiritual coach. Just who leaked from the kids and whoto post that’s what we have to explore, “Didih said.

Furthermore, the process of imposing sanctions if it is shown that TS teachers have violated the rules, according to Didih, cannot be carried out by Disdik alone either. The reason is that TS teachers are registered as Public Officials (PNS). That means that the DKI Jakarta Department of Education must also be guided by the regulations stipulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 53 of 2010 on the discipline of civil servants.

In this case, if it was proven that TS had violated the disciplinary rules, Didih said there would be sanctions against TS.

“There could be a delay in promoting promotions, demotions, until the heaviest is fired from an official,” he said.

CNNIndonesia.com has tried to contact the director of SMA 58 Dwi Arsono to ask for the validity of the information along with the clarity of the chronology of this case. However, until this news was written, the person concerned had not responded to phone calls or written messages.

This controversy has a long ending in the field of law. The East Jakarta Metropolitan Police is investigating reports made by students against SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta teacher with the initials TS.

East Jakarta Subway Police Deputy Chief AKBP Stefanus Tamuntuan said the police had received the report against the teacher on November 2.

Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he was concerned about TS actions related to SARA. According to him, the teacher could receive sanctions according to the applicable rules.

Riza also admitted that she had instructed the Office of Education to resolve this issue amicably.

“I myself have not received the exact report. We hope the Office of Education can finish it well,” said Riza, on Wednesday (4/11).

The Indonesian Children’s Protection Commissioner for Education (KPAI) Retno Listyarti also criticized the alleged actions of the TS teacher.

KPAI encouraged the DKI Jakarta Education Agency to examine the teacher with the initials TS. Because if the teacher teaches hatred of diversity, this hatred, according to Retno, will truly manifest itself among students and will become a culture in schools.

“Tolerance is absolute, not only respect for differences, but more than that, there is not the slightest hatred for differences,” Retno said in a written statement.

The root of this controversy began when the evidence of the SMAN 58 WhatsApp group conversation capture screen spread on social media. One of the screenshots was uploaded to the @digeeembokFC Twitter account on Saturday (10/24).

The upload shows a screenshot of the message on the WhatsApp group called ‘Rohis 58’.

“Assalamualaikum … be careful to elect the Student Council president for Paslon 1 and 2 candidates for non-Islam … so, however, most of us have to have a president who shares the same faith with us “, transmitted TS in the WhatsApp group.

TS asked the students to support OSIS candidate number 3 because the president and vice presidents were all Muslim. The number 1 candidate pair is non-Muslim and the number 2 candidate pair is non-Muslim.

“Please pray and support candidate couple 3. Beware Rohis, no one becomes a traitor,” said TS.
