The Democratic presidential candidate for the United States (USA), Joe Biden, has won 264 electoral votes in the 2020 American presidential elections. Biden only needed six electoral votes to be declared the winner of the presidential election, defeating President Donald Trump .
As reported Fox NewsOn Thursday (May 11, 2020), the latest counting data from Fox News shows that Biden is still ahead of Trump’s electoral vote count.
Currently, Biden has cast 264 electoral votes, while Trump has only cast 214 electoral votes.
It is known that 270 electoral votes, out of a total of 538 electoral votes, were needed to win the US presidential election.
As of now, there are still five states that have not completed the calculation and the electoral votes of the five states will continue to compete for the two presidential candidates.
The five states include Nevada (6 electoral votes), Alaska (3 electoral votes), Georgia (16 electoral votes), North Carolina (15 electoral votes), and Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes).
From Fox News data, Biden is known to be in the lead while in Nevada, while Trump is in the lead in Alaska, Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Various electoral vote scenarios show that Trump must win all five states to beat Biden in this presidential election. Meanwhile, Biden only needed to win in Nevada, where he currently temporarily leads, to win the US presidential election.
