KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The government has confirmed that the second phase of the wage subsidy will be disbursed in the first week of November. “The distribution of the second term (BLT BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) will take place during the first week of November 2020,” Human Resources Minister Ida Fauziyah said, as quoted by BNPB Indonesia’s YouTube account on Tuesday (03/11 / 2020).

This means that, with the distribution target in the first week of November, the BPJS Employment wage subsidy will begin to roll over in stages no later than Saturday, November 7, 2020.

This year, the government has scheduled the distribution of Rs 600,000 for subsidized wages or BPJS assistance to workers with monthly wages below Rs 5 million in 2 stages of disbursement.

Each worker receives a BLT subsidized salary of Rs 600,000 per month for 4 months or a total of Rs 2.4 million. However, the BLT was disbursed once every 2 months, so in 1 disbursement, workers received Rs 1.2 million aid.

The budget allocated to the beneficiaries of wage subsidy aid is 15.72 million workers with a total budget of 37.74 trillion rupees. The validation and verification process is carried out both at the Ministry of Manpower and at BP Jamsostek. This BLT BPJS Ketenagakerjaan was provided to increase the purchasing power of workers.

Meanwhile, assistance is provided to layoff victims through the Prior Work Card program.

“This does not mean that the government is silent, because until now the government continues to give subsidies to workers in the form of salaries or subsidized wages. So this is one of our ways of maintaining the purchasing power of our workers,” explained Ida .

“I witnessed coworkers who received subsidized wages or salaries, they felt the presence of the state in a condition where their wages had been reduced,” Ida said again.
