PRECISION JOURNAL – After the controversial statement stems from the events that took place in France, the focus of the Muslim world is now on President Emmanuel Macron.
He was attacked for his attitude, which was seen as supporting the publication of the cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad by Charlie Hebdo magazine.
The reason is that Macron’s statement is seen as defending Charlie Hebdo magazine, arguing on behalf of the freedom of expression that has drawn the ire of the global Muslim community.

Several countries that are members of the Arab trade association, such as Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have called for a boycott of French products. The world Muslim community also participated, none other than the Al-Qaeda terrorist network in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).
Reporting from AFP, AQIM has criticized President Macron, telling his followers that killing is the right of anyone who has insulted the Prophet Muhammad.
“Killing anyone who insults the prophet is the right of every Muslim,” reported AFP, citing the AQIM statement on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Later, he also declared that a boycott of French products was mandatory, but that the boycott alone was not enough to retaliate against Macron’s statement.
