Yogyakarta puppeteer Ki Seno Nugroho passed away tonight, Tuesday (03/11/2020) night.
The news about the death of this phenomenal young puppeteer spread from friendship groups between Yogya and Solo artists. The certainty about the death of Ki Seno was confirmed by Oriza, singer of Laras Residents, an art group that usually accompanies the performances of Ki Seno.

Seno Nugroho is a young puppeteer from Yogyakarta who is known as one of the reformers of modern puppet styles. The puppeteer who was born on August 23, 1972 is basically a Yogyakarta-style puppeteer, but he also often combines it with Solo in his performances.
Seno Nugroho comes from a family of traditional artists. His father, (deceased) Ki Suparman Cermowiyoto, was a famous Yogyakarta-style mastermind who was very famous at the time.
