Sosok.ID – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will award a Mahaputera star to retired TNI commander Gatot Nurmantyo.
This information was reported by the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD through the social networks of Twitter.
Mahfud MD said that the award was not only given to Gatot, but also to former President of the Constitutional Court (MK), Arief Hidayat.
In addition to Bintang Mahaputera, Jokowi will also confer the title of National Hero to two Indonesian figures, SM Amin and Soekanto.

Reported Sosok.ID from the Twitter account @mohmahfudmd, Tuesday (03/11/2020), the two titles will be delivered on November 10 and 11, 2020.
“On November 10 and 11, 2020, the President will confer the titles of National Hero (PN) and Bintang Mahaputera (BM)”.
“Those who obtain PN titles, among others, SM Amin and Soekanto; those who obtain BM, among others, Gatot Nurmantyo and Arief Hidayat,” wrote Mahfud MD.
The Mahaputera Star Award is given to all former TNI commanders-in-chief who have completed their service for a period, Mahfud said.

Gatot Nurmantyo is known to have completed his post as Commander of TNI for the 2014-2015 term.
Gatot is known as a figure who often criticizes the government of President Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin.
