President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will award the Mahaputera Star to former TNI commander Gatot Nurmantyo. In addition to Gatot, former President of the Constitutional Court (MK) Arief Hidayat will receive a similar award.
This information was transmitted by the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md through the Twitter account @mohmahfudmd as seen detikcom, Tuesday (03/11/2020). Apart from Bintang Mahaputera, Jokowi will confer the title of national hero.
“On November 10 and 11, 2020, the President will confer the title of National Hero (PN) and Bintang Mahaputera (BM). Those who obtain PN titles, among others, SM Amin and Soekanto; those who get BM, among others, Gatot Nurmantyo and Arief Hidayat, ”wrote Mahfud.
As cited on the Setkab.go.id website, Bintang Mahaputera is an acknowledgment for the outstanding services of a figure in various fields that are beneficial to the progress, well-being and prosperity of the nation and state.
The star Mahaputera consists of several classes ranging from the main star Mahaputera to the star Nararya Mahaputera. Previously, Jokowi also awarded the Main Star Mahaputera and Nararya in the series of events for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Various figures received awards, from Fadli Zon to Fahri Hamzah.
