In this action, Jumisih said, the mass of workers would still demand the cancellation of the Ciptaker Omnibus Law. The law has now been officially enacted after it was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and entered on Monday (2/11) in the state sheet number 11 of 2020 on job creation.

The action in Jakarta that will take place next week, Jumisih said, is a way of calling on workers in the regions to rush to consolidate on the existence of the Ciptaker Law.

“This is also a call to the friends of the regions to hurry to consolidate and strengthen the mass resistance movement in each region involving all elements or sectors of the people,” he said.

Jumisih explained that so far his party remains firm in not filing a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court regarding the Omnibus Law for Job Creation or Law number 11 of 2020.

The fight, he said, would be carried out entirely through demonstrations with a focus on demands that Jokowi immediately issue a Government Regulation instead of a Law to cancel the regulation.

“Our reasons are the same that this law is unconstitutional because in the process of planning, formulation, discussion, it is not in accordance with the constitution of our country, so it does not deserve to be sued by the Constitutional Court,” he said.

Regarding the action of November 10, Jumisih could not specify the number of masses of workers who will be transferred.

“Not available adjustment action, not yet repair “How many people will participate in the objective of the action, but in the day to day we have decided on the 10th,” he said.

Meanwhile, the president of the Congress of the Indonesian Trade Union Alliance (KASBI), Nining Elitos, confirmed that the workers ‘action will coincide with the commemoration of Heroes’ Day on November 10.

“November 11-12 in the regions, [untuk pekan ini] we continue to develop a motive of disbelief in power, “he said.

On that occasion, Nining said that this law was not created for little people. Jokowi openly formulated rules that benefited the interests of capital owners.

“From the beginning it has been done quietly and darkly, so that the laws and regulations crash, the formation of Laws, the constitution is violated, so it does convince us all that the Employment Creation Law is not for the people small but only for the interests of the capital and oligarchs, “he said.

Earlier on Monday (3/11) while carrying out an action, a mass of workers led by the Confederation of Indonesian Workers’ Unions (KSPI) took action in the Medan Merdeka area of central Jakarta. In addition to taking action, they also presented a declaration letter on the Employment Creation Law to the representatives of the officials of the Constitutional Court (MK).

Furthermore, KSPI President Said Iqbal is still waiting for the Ciptaker Law to be enacted to file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court. He explained that there were two trials that his party would present, namely the formal evidence and the material evidence.
