Mass Front of Islamic Defenders (REIT) and various elements of Islamic community organizations (Ormas) held a demonstration in front of the Office of the French Consulate General in Jalan Mawar, Tegalsari, Surabaya. They criticize the attitude France’s president, Emmanuel Macron which is considered to have cornered Islam.
The action heated up when the crowd forced a police tactical vehicle (Rantis) through the crowd. Rantis decided to resign because he did not want to run over the French flag held by the masses in the streets.

“Secondly, please support the attitude of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and President Joko Widodo, who rebuked and warned Macron to attract actions or speeches that insult the Prophet,” Devi said.
Third, urge the Indonesian government to cut diplomatic relations with France. Withdrawing the Indonesian Embassy there for a while.
“Empat urged the EU court to issue a harsh warning and sanctions to the French president,” he said.
Fifthly, to support the attitude of the member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) that have issued warnings and called for a boycott of all products originating in France.
“Six, to demand in a wise and civilized way. And seven, to remind all parties, so that the incident of insult to Rasulullah does not happen again,” he said.
