In Bekasi, the area affected by the blackout is Jatibening. In Depok there are two areas, namely Kelapa Dua and Pondok Sukatani.

However, the blackout did not last long, electricity in several areas of South Jakarta has gradually come back to life around 13.25 WIB. Many netizens complained about the blackout condition on social media until it became a trend on Twitter.

The power outages that have affected various areas of Jakarta also have an impact on internet connection. Some users admit that it is difficult to get a signal when accessing the Internet. There are also users who feel there is no power outage notification.

PLN said the blackout in and around parts of Jakarta was due to the explosion of the 500 kV circuit breaker in Muara Tawar.
