Six facts about the beating of 2 TNI members by a Moge rider, threatening to shoot and kicking the victim’s head

PADANG, KOMPAS.com – Two TNI members from Kodim 0304 / Agam, West Sumatra, were beaten up by members of the large Harley Davidson Owner Group (HOG) motorcycle club Siliwangi Bandung, West Java.

The incident started on Friday (10/30/2020) when club members went on a tour in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.

As they cross the road, the club members meet members of TNI.

Bukittinggi AKPB Police Chief Dody Prawiranegara said the incident occurred due to a misunderstanding on the road.

1. Viral on social media

The incident went viral on social media after several accounts uploaded it to Instagram.

Instagram account @ bukittinggi24jam said the incident was caused by a misunderstanding while driving.

It was said that there were two beatings victims.

“One of the victims was reported as an active member of TNI, but this has not been confirmed,” the account wrote.

The story also tells the chronology of events.

Initially, the motorcyclists on their way met the victim who had stopped.

There was an argument, before finally the victim tried to stop the motorcyclists from scolding him.

“Do not accept it, motorcycle gangs known to come from outside West Sumatra immediately unite against the victim, until they are beaten,” the account wrote.

2. Two suspects

After the incident, police arrested two members of the Harley Davidson motorcycle gang from West Java after allegedly assaulting two members of the TNI from Kodim 0304 Agam, West Sumatra.

The two people with the initials MS (49) and B (18) each. Both were charged under article 170 of the Penal Code for acts of violence in public with the threat of 5 years in prison.

“We have arrested the initials MS (49 years old) and B (18 years old). The suspicious items are 170 KUHP,” said Bukittinggi AKBP Police Chief Dody Prawiranegara, who was contacted. Kompas.com, Saturday (10/31/2020).

3. It was initially peaceful

Dody said that initially the two warring parties had reconciled amicably on Friday (10/30/2020) afternoon. However, it turned out that the victim made a police report that night.

“We are only following up on the complaint made by the victim to the police station and we have followed up on it. The perpetrators who have been found to have committed a crime are 2 people and they are currently detained in the police detention center”, Dody said.

4. Testing of helmets and shoes

The shoes and helmets of members of the Harley Davidson Owner Group (HOG) club in Siliwangi Bandung, West Java, are evidence of the case of the beating of two TNI members from Kodim 0304 / Agam, West Sumatra.

Meanwhile, two suspects of the club members, MS (49 years old) and B (18 years old) have been named as suspects.

“The evidence includes helmets and shoes of club members,” said West Sumatra Police Chief of Public Relations Kombes Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, who was contacted by Kompas.com on Saturday (10/31/2020).

According to Stefanus, both were accused of article 170 of the Penal Code on acts of violence in public with the threat of 5 years in prison.

5. A total of 14 motorcycles were insured

In addition, Stefanus said, the police also secured 14 large bikes consisting of 13 Harley Davidson types and one NMax.

The bikes, Stefanus said, will be checked for completeness before they are released.

“First check for completeness. If it is complete, of course it will be published,” Stefanus explained.

6. Threatened with being shot

Members of the large Harley Davidson motorcycle club (Moge) who attacked members of TNI Kodim 0304 / Agam, West Sumatra, threatened to shoot the victim.

In the video that went viral on social media, a member of the moge club launched a threat while pushing the victim.

“I won’t shoot you,” said one of the Moge club members in the video.

Several club members were then seen pushing TNI members down.

After falling, one of the moge club members was also seen kicking the victim’s head.
