The video showing 2 TNI members victims of beatings by the Harley-Davidson club group went viral on social media (social media). The incident occurred when the large motorcycle club (moge) was in a convoy in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra (West Sumatra).
There are several videos circulating on social media related to this event. The video shows that the beatings took place in the courtyard of a store.
It was reported that the pursuit of the two TNI soldiers with the rank of Regional Army (TNI) took place on Friday (10/30), around 5:00 p.m. WIB. At that time the two TNI members were crossing Jalan Hamka, Guguk Panjang, Bukittinggi.
The two TNI members stopped their vehicle when the motorcycle convoy passed. After that they returned to continue their journey.
It turned out that a convoy was left behind. This group was racing on the exhaust in speeding conditions, causing the motorcycles of two TNI members to roll off the shoulder of the road.
The two TNI members then chased after the Harley club member. When the condition got stuck, one of the TNI members asked the motorcycle driver the intention of cutting off the road.
A discussion ensued. Eventually the two TNI members serving at Kodim 0304 / Agam were beaten.
In circulating video, multiple people in leather jackets and jeans are seen beating up freely dressed TNI members. Police at the scene intervened, but unscrupulous moge members continued to attack TNI members who were already huddled and asleep.
Regarding this incident, the police have taken action. The victim has made a complaint to the police.
“We are following up on the complaint made by the victim to the police and have followed up on it,” Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Dody Prawiranegara said when confirmed on Saturday (10/31/2020).
