Turin

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally been declared cured of COVID-19. CR7 had to undergo self-isolation for more than two weeks before testing negative for COVID-19.

Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19 while defending the Portugal national team on October 13. He then had to return to Turin to undergo independent isolation.

After that, Ronaldo underwent three tests and the results were still positive. This leaves the 35-year-old forward forced to miss the Juventus defense in matches against Crotone, Dynamo Kiev, Hellas Verona and Barcelona.

The former Real Madrid star was furious that his test results were never negative even though he was doing well. Ronaldo’s wait to recover eventually led to the results of his fourth swab test after testing positive for COVID-19.

Juventus announced that Ronaldo’s latest swab test result was negative for COVID-19, on Saturday (10/31/2020) at the morning WIB. Ronaldo can now also end the 19-day period of self-isolation.

“Cristiano Ronaldo performed a diagnostic test (swab) for COVID-19,” Juventus wrote on its official website.

“The test indicates that the result is negative. Therefore, the player has been declared cured after 19 days and no longer has to undergo isolation at home,” read a continuing statement from Juventus.

Quoted in Italian football, Ronaldo will still have to undergo a medical examination before he can rejoin the Juventus team. He will reportedly take the exam tomorrow.

Ronaldo is expected to be able to return to strengthen Juventus when he visits Spezia headquarters in Serie A continued, on Sunday (10/1/2020) WIB night. Clearly, their presence is necessary to elevate the performance of the bianconeri, who remain in fifth place in the Serie A standings with nine points.
