The Brazilian midfielder is sometimes irritated by the high discipline demanded by the Arsenal manager.

Willian has expressed frustration with the tactics of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. Still, Willian admitted that Arteta helped him adjust to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal signed Willian for free last August after leaving Chelsea at the end of the 2019/20 season. During his seven-year career at Stamford Bridge, Willian has become one of the most consistent players, winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the Europa League.

The age of 32 does not prevent Willian from being looked at by Arsenal. Arteta admitted that Willian was still hungry for the title, so he decided to sign him.

Willian’s debut at Arsenal has been impressive, after two help during the 3-0 win over Fulham in the season opener. However, the Brazilian attacking midfielder has yet to add more contributions in the next five appearances.

During his two months as an Arsenal player, William admitted that he had learned many things, including Arteta’s tactics that required great discipline. Not infrequently Willian was frustrated by him.

“It feels great, a new experience. I have never been trained by someone with a mind like him [Arteta], “Willian said Globe Sports.

“Positioning tactics do not mean that your freedom is restricted. You still have freedom of movement on the court, but sometimes the coach asks you to stay where you are.”

“Sometimes this tactic makes you rarely get the ball, which is frustrating. However, Mikel always says, ‘Wait a minute, the ball will be here soon.’ I learned a lot from him.”

Arsenal just beat Dundalk 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday (10/29), with Willian coming off the bench.

Next, The gunmen I will do big match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday (1/11).
