The woman wearing a headscarf broke into Jakarta City Hall with the desire to set fire to the building that became the office of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
The woman was ready to bring gasoline.
Gasoline is stored in mineral bottles. The incident was recorded through an amateur video circulating among journalists.
In the 41-second video, the woman was caught loading gasoline while inside DKI Jakarta City Hall.
Police found the gasoline stored in the mineral water bottle while going through the woman’s luggage.
From circulating video, it appears that the police showed a bottle of gasoline while examining the woman wearing the hijab.
In the video recording, it appears that TNI agents also examined the veiled woman.
When the officer found the gasoline bottle, it was found that the woman did not accept the officer’s inspection.
“I don’t accept all of this,” he said.
The hijab-wearing woman was seen to be involved in an argument with the authorities who had confiscated the gasoline bottle.
“I will burn down this building,” the woman yelled.
The veiled woman also felt that she had experienced violence during the exam. The woman even had time to appoint TNI agents.
“There was no violence,” said the TNI member wearing the mask.
In the recording, it appears that the policemen again asked what the woman was trying to do by bringing gasoline to the room.
When asked about this, the woman immediately admitted that she had brought gasoline to burn.
“Mother, do you bring gasoline to burn?” asked the officer.
“Yes, I want to burn it,” said the woman.
In connection with this, the Head of the General Office of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretariat, Budi Awaludin, confirmed the incident of a guest who brought a bottle of mineral water filled with gasoline.
According to him, the incident occurred yesterday Tuesday (10/27/2020).
“Yes sir, the incident happened yesterday sir, at 12:20 am,” Budi said when confirmed by Suara.com, on Wednesday (10/28/2020).
He also admitted that his party had denounced the mothers’ action to bring gasoline to the Gambir Police.
“We have informed the Gambir police chief, sir, we will only wait from there,” he said.
