But the law of celebrating the Mauli of Prophet Muhammad SAWa is still a matter of debate.
Ustaz Abdul Somad or UAS explained that there are three proposals to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet.
There are two laws to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet: heresy and no heresy.
According to UAS, as quoted on Para Pejalan’s Youtube channel, celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is not heresy.

Suwaibah then informed Abu Lahab.
Abu Lahab was happy that his younger brother who died had been replaced by his nephew.

That day was Abu Lahab’s greatest alms, so his sins were relieved every Monday.

He added that the leader of the world’s great scholars, Sheikh Yusuf Al Qorbowi, narrated that the Prophet’s companions did not celebrate the Prophet’s birthday because they lived with the Prophet, ate with the Prophet, prayed with the Prophet, and looked at the Prophet.
However, after the death of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, in the time of Tabiin no one remembered the birthday of the Prophet, until one day one of the Prophet’s companions took his son to the hill of Uhud.
There, the companions of the Prophet introduced the Prophet Muhammad.
So Ustaz Abdul Somad said that the purpose of commemorating the Prophet’s birthday is to introduce the Prophet, the son of the Prophet, to the grandson of the Prophet.
