France urged Arab countries to stop calls to boycott their products. The boycott came after a controversial statement by French President Emmanuel Macron.

The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Sunday (10/25) local time that in recent days there had been calls to boycott French products, especially food products, several Middle Eastern countries, as well as calls for demonstrations against France for the publication of the cartoon satire of the prophet Muhammad of France.

“This call for a boycott is unfounded and must be stopped immediately, as well as all attacks on our country, which are being driven by a radical minority,” the statement said.
