JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Samsul Hadi, Chairman of the Advisory Board and founder of Indonesia’s UMKM Parent, said that many micro-entrepreneurs do not know how and do not know the procedures for obtaining direct cash assistance (BLT) for Rp 2.4 million MSMEs.
Because of this, Samsul said, many MSMEs actors complained and suggested that the government buy their products rather than provide BLT.
“I am more interested in the government buying their products than in giving money,” he told Kompas.com on Monday (10/26/2020).

Hadi said MSME actors who did not understand the procedure or how to obtain BLT were mainly in the regions.
UMKM’s ignorance, Samsul said, was due to a lack of information from the agency that ran the UMKM BLT program.
“In West Java, the BLT program until the perpetrators or residents get to the local office alone. Too bad, many don’t know how,” Hadi said.
He said that UMKM players wanted partners in marketing UMKM products.

Furthermore, Hadi also said that taxes still existed on UMKM players even though they were aware of the tax exemption for them.
Meanwhile, the government, in this case the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, still opens opportunities for MSMEs that want to obtain productive Presidential Assistance (Banpres) or BLT of IDR 2.4 million. This assistance will run until the end of November 2020.
The Finance deputy of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Hanung Harimba Rachman, said that Phase II of Banpres’s assistance program will target 3 million MSMEs.
To that end, Hanung also asked regional chiefs or regional cooperative offices to quickly send their UMKMs and provide all the data to the ministry.
