It was at the time of the presentation of the judicial files that the workers took a national action demanding that the Constitutional Court annul the omnibus law on the Employment Creation Law and request the President to issue a Perpu to annul the Employment Creation Law .
“The national labor action on November 2 was carried out simultaneously in 24 provinces and 200 districts / cities and was attended by hundreds of thousands of workers. While the action in the Palace and the Constitutional Court was attended by tens of thousands of workers, ”said Said Iqbal.
In addition, the KSPI will also carry out national actions simultaneously in 24 provinces from November 9 to 10, followed by hundreds of thousands of workers with demands from the Indonesian Parliament to repeal the general law of the Employment Creation Law through a process of legislative review in accordance with articles 20, 21 of the mechanism of the Constitution of 1945 and 22A, as well as the PPP Law.
In addition to requesting the repeal of the omnibus law on the Employment Creation Law, in action from November 9 to 10, 2020 other labor demands will also be transmitted, namely, requesting an increase in the minimum wage of 2021 by 8% in throughout Indonesia and reject the absence of an increase in the 2021 minimum wage.
Said Iqbal explained that the national action was carried out simultaneously in 24 provinces and involved 200 districts / cities, including: Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, Tangerang Raya, Serang, Cilegon, Karawang, Bekasi, Purwakarta, Subang, Indramayu, Cirebon, Bandung Raya, Cimahi, Cianjur, Sukabumi, Semarang, Kendal, Jepara, Surabaya, Mojokerto, Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, and Gresik.
