Polda Metro traffic director Jaya Kombes, Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yugo, previously explained that the operation this time emphasized more preventive activities.

“More to be active preventively, the last time we enforce the law. There are various types of traffic offenses that will be the focus,” Sambodo told Kompas.com some days ago.
The types of violators referred to include not wearing helmets, violating road markings, or stop line, broke into the Transjakarta lane and went against the current that many motorcyclists did.
The imposition of sanctions or fines for infractions will refer to the Road Traffic and Transportation Law Number 22 of 2009. For example, for infractions of not wearing a helmet, the fine is 250.00 IDR.
As long as the road markings or not stop at the rear stop lineThe penalties range from two months in prison to a maximum fine of Rs 500,000. Meanwhile, against the current, the maximum fine to be applied is 500,000 rupees or two months in prison.
Hunting
The implementation of Operation Zebra in the first weeks was accompanied by a collective license and a long vacation for the Prophet’s birthday. To keep the traffic running smoothly, quoting the NTMC Police, Sambodo explained that his party would alert hundreds of people.

“For safety during long vacations, there are 749 employees. That is a combination of Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas and Satlantas in Polres,” Sambodo said.
According to Sambodo, although Operation Zebra coincides with a long holiday, it ensures that the deployed personnel will remain on hold, both for security and operations.
“Our zebra operation does not conduct raids, that is hunting At the points that are prone to violation, that’s what we do, the points are also different. The points that often go against the grain are the ones we do (act) because it is different from the vacation route. So there is still someone in charge of security at Operation Zebra, “Sambodo said.
