Central Java Police Chief: Yulia’s Killer Faces the Death Penalty

jpnn.com, SUKOHARJO – Central Java Regional Police Inspector General Ahmad Lutfi said his party had managed to arrest the murderer of Yulia, 42, the wife of a neurologist with a distant relative of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Sukoharjo, Java Central.

The perpetrator was Eko Prasetyo, 30, a resident of Ngesong, Pohgogor Village, Bendosari district, on Thursday (10/22) morning.

“The suspect was arrested less than 24 hours after the police conducted the TKP on Wednesday (10/21) morning,” he said.

Ahmad Lutfi explained that the perpetrator was captured after investigators found a conversation between Yulia and her son.

In the conversation, Yulia stated that she wanted to meet Eko at a chicken farm to collect the debts of the perpetrators.

“They want to collect a debt of Rp. 100 million from a debt of Rp. 140 million,” said the Chief of Police at the Sukoharjo Police Headquarters on Friday (10/23/2020).

Additionally, investigators also found evidence of conversations between victims and perpetrators.

Investigators also found a letter of agreement between the victim and the perpetrator regarding the chicken farming business.
