Sukoharjo –
Police have named a suspect in the murder of Yulia (42), a woman who was found dead in a burning car in Sukoharjo. The perpetrator named Eko Prasetyo (30) the night of the incident said goodbye to his father-in-law to fix the WiFi.
Eko’s father-in-law, Kamino, said that his son-in-law worked for a company in the Internet connection sector. He is in charge of the installation or maintenance of WiFi equipment.
“He had said goodbye to installing WiFi internet. He joined the company,” Kamino said at the house he shared with Eko in Ngesong, Puhgogor Village, Bendosari district, Sukoharjo, on Friday (10/23/2020).
Kamino was shocked when on Wednesday (10/21) morning at 03.00 WIB, the police visited his home. This is because he himself received the warrant for Eko’s arrest.
“Before dawn the police arrived, six cars. Bring a warrant,” he said.
Kamino also confirmed that Eko has a business relationship with Yulia. The two, Kamino said, had recently worked alongside chicken cattle.
“They (Yulia and Eko) are in the laying hen business. Not long ago, several months,” explained Kamino.
Kamino also admitted that he had seen Yulia. However, from what Kamino remembered, he had only met Yulia once.
“I was here. I played once,” he said.
Kamino also admitted that he knew nothing about the debt and credit between his son-in-law and Yulia. He was also confused when the police detained his son-in-law.
“Arrested for not knowing. (Accounts Payable) didn’t know. Arrested suddenly,” he said.
Previously reported, the perpetrator had already made an appointment to meet in a chicken coop not far from the perpetrator’s home, Ngesong, Puhgogor Village, Bendosari District, Sukoharjo on Tuesday (10/20) at 17.00 WIB.
When Yulia was about to get into the car, the attacker hit her with a crowbar twice and dragged her into the chicken coop. Before dying, the assailant asked for the victim’s ATM PIN and took some money.
In the evening, the victim, who was placed in a car, was taken to the second crime scene, in front of the building materials store in Dukuh Cendono Baru RT 4/7, Sugihan Village, Bendosari District, Sukoharjo.
The new victim was found by neighbors around 10pm WIB. The police then arrested the perpetrator at his home at 03:00 WIB.
“He was arrested at the suspect’s home. He did not expect us to reveal it quickly. This is due to the cooperation of Labfor, the Sukoharjo Police, the Central Java Regional Police,” said Chief Inspector of the Central Java Police Ahmad Luthfi at Sukoharjo Police Headquarters on Friday (10/23).
