KOMPAS.com – In the midst of the corona pandemic, Facebook has opened an entrepreneur registry of the Indonesian SME Assistance Fund for small and medium-sized businesses (UKM).
For eligible and qualified SMEs, they will receive assistance worth IDR 31 million.
Facebook National Director for Indonesia Pieter Lydian, via Axicom for Facebook Indonesia, Hadyan Hawari, said that registration for this program is open from October 6 to November 2, 2020.
According to Pieter, this help was provided after seeing the stretch and enthusiasm of SMEs in Indonesia to start a business.

While, on the other hand, several SMEs have also had to go through difficult times to run a business in the midst of the corona pandemic.
Many of them continue to try to adapt and take advantage of the online platform.
“We listen to the challenges UKM owners face and want to provide helpful support, including financial support, to help them recover, reorganize their strategies and restore their business performance,” Pieter told Kompas.com (10/23/2020).
Registration requirements
The UKM Assistance Program is available to eligible and registered entrepreneurial SMEs in Indonesia.
Below are the details of the requirements:
1. It is a commercial company
2. UKM entrepreneurs must have at least 2 employees
3. You have been in business for more than 1 year.
4. They are facing commercial difficulties due to the pandemic situation.
5. A business company that is legally registered in Indonesia (having TDP or NIB).

31 million IDR for 30,000 SMEs
Additionally, Pieter said that with the help of Facebook UKM, all commercial players would receive assistance worth IDR 31,017,300.
The Facebook UKM support fund consists of cash worth IDR 19,385,800 and IDR 11,631,500 in the form of optional ad credits.

He said Facebook would assist up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in more than 30 countries.
For the initial registration, you can select the business location “Indonesia”.
Facebook Indonesia offers around 12.5 billion IDR in grants to around 400 small businesses in Indonesia.
This small business does not need a prior Facebook presence to register.
Before registering, a number of documents are required, namely the deed of incorporation of a business entity, the deed of recent modifications of the business entity, the company registration certificate (TDP) or the business identification number ( NIB) of your business entity.

In this program, Facebook partners with Deloitte Consulting and Goodera to screen incoming applicants, select SMEs, and distribute grants to selected SMEs.

They will receive advice from experts and other SME owners, and visit Facebook’s Business Resource Hub, which contains tips, features and free online training to help SMEs stay connected with their customers.
