BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – A car driver who threw the bag full of garbage on the Kalimalang canal inspection street, Bekasi Regency finally turned himself in to the Bekasi Metropolitan Police, on Thursday (10/22/2020).
This was confirmed by Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Bekasi Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Hendra Gunawan.
“Not arrested, he turned himself in (to the Bekasi Metro Police),” Hendra said when contacted on Thursday (10/22/2020).

Hendra said that based on the perpetrator’s admission, the garbage bags dumped in the vacant lot next to the Kalimalang road were household waste.
However, Hendra has not explained in detail the reasons why the driver disposes of the trash improperly.
“Household waste, not waste, that’s why I asked Satpol PP to come to my office (Bekasi Metropolitan Police) to follow up,” Hendra said.
Hendra added that the next trial against the perpetrators was the authority of the Bekasi Regency Government.
On the basis of article 18 of the Regency Regulation of Bekasi number 6 of 2006 regarding the modifications of the regional regulation number 4 of 1999 on waste collection services or cleaning fees, the threat of imprisonment for littering, i.e. , three months in prison and a fine of 5 million rupees.
“Then to follow up on the authority of Satpol PP. Now there are tipiring (minor criminal acts), that is the domain of Satpol PP,” he said.

He said the perpetrator is currently being questioned at the Bekasi Metropolitan Police.
“Not yet (I know why), this is still being questioned,” he said.
Previously, the action of the perpetrator carelessly tossing garbage bags at Jalan Inspeksi, Kalimalang Canal, Bekasi Regency, was caught on camera by residents and the video went viral on social media.
Based on the video, it appears that the driver of a Van Blind Van with a license plate number B 9338 FCC dumped four large plastic garbage bags on the side of the road.
When disposing of the garbage bag, the driver of the car appears to be walking in a straight line. Even though the surroundings of Jalan Kalimalang seem to be full of other motorists.
