jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The results of a survey of Indonesian political indicators reveal that the majority of Indonesians are satisfied with the performance of the government of Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
According to the Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, the number of satisfied with the government’s performance in September reached 66 percent.
“In May, those who were satisfied or fairly satisfied were just over 50 percent,” Burhanuddin said.
Furthermore, 26.4 percent were dissatisfied and only 2.4 percent were dissatisfied. According to Burhanuddin, the level of community satisfaction increased because social aid (bansos) were issued.
Other things that also affect the community’s satisfaction with the central government are class and partisan aspects.
“The class aspect, the lower the level of education and opinion, it tends to be more satisfied than those with high incomes or education towards the performance of the central government,” he said.
Meanwhile, the partisan aspect depends on the political options in the 2019 presidential elections. Someone who in the last election elected Jokowi-Ma’ruf will probably say that he is satisfied with the performance of the central government.
In contrast, when someone chose Prabowo-Sandiaga in 2019, despite the fact that Prabowo had joined the government, respondents tended to respond dissatisfied.
