SPLIT – There are four descendant players who are enrolled in the current Indonesian U-19 National Team (Timnas) squad. They are Jack Brown, of Indonesian-British descent, Elkan Baggott (Indonesian-English), Kelana Noah Mahessa (Indonesian-German) and Luah Fynn Jeremy Mahessa (Indonesian-German).
The last two names have just joined the Indonesian Under-19 National Team. They arrived in Split, Croatia on Sunday October 18, 2020. A day later, these brothers immediately joined the training with David Maulana and his friends.

Surprisingly, the two players who are now registered as SC Bonner staff (German League 4th caste) were immediately dispatched by coach Shin Tae-yong in a test match against Hajduk Split, on Tuesday October 20, 2020 WIB in the afternoon. Even for Kelana, the midfielder who was born on January 30, 2001, he was immediately assigned as the starter.
Now the question is, will the influx of players of descent continue to occur in the Indonesian U19 National Team? For your information, PSSI once revealed that there were a number of descendants who applied to be called up by the Indonesian U19 National Team squad that is preparing to appear in the 2021 U20 World Cup.
Some of them are Justin Jonathans (right back, Dutch-Indonesian) and Joseph Simatupang (defender, Blackburn Rovers). PSSI Acting Secretary General (Secretary General) Yunus Nusi once said that the selection of players was entirely in the hands of coach Shin Tae-yong.

If Shin Tae-yong wants a descendant player, PSSI is ready to help with the administrative process. However, PSSI believes that Shin Tae-yong understands the standard players he needs.
