Jakarta –
Marcus Rashford is considered to have the potential to become a world-class forward. Rio Ferdinand advised him to add this aspect to his game.
Rashford determines Manchester United victory when visiting Paris Saint-Germain, Wednesday (10/21/2020) WIB early morning in Working day I Champions League. His goal in the 87th minute ensured MU win 2-1 and start the group stage with three points.
It was Rashford’s fourth goal in seven appearances in all competitions this season. That goal at the same time became something of a replay moment two years ago, where the 22-year-old forward also determined MU’s breakup at PSG headquarters in the round of 16.
Former MU defender Rio Ferdinand sees Rashford as having great potential to become a world-class striker, not inferior to PSG’s young forward Kylian Mbappé. Rashford just needs to brush up on his ability to score bad goals, which, while not a beautiful process, are crucial for the team.
“Rashford can certainly become a world-class player if he continues to develop. He needs to add a poacher element to his game,” Ferdinand said. BT sport quoted BBC.
“When Wayne Rooney used to join United, he scored outrageous goals, even though he hadn’t scored bad goals before. He became obsessed with scoring goals.”
“Marcus scores fantastic goals and creates fantastic opportunities. If he can create that bad side of the game, this kid could be an extraordinary person.”
“The difference between Rashford and Mbappe is that when Mbappe receives the ball, I am at the end of the seat because he is positioning himself to score goals. Marcus will have to look at him and think more about it.
