JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Up to 20 professional organizations and medical faculties sent subpoenas to the Minister of Health (Menkes) Terawan Agus Putranto regarding the Regulation of the Ministry of Health Number 24 of 2020.
The summons was transmitted by Muhammad Luthfie Hakim as Coordinator of the Advocates Coalition appointed by the 20 organizations.
Through a written statement delivered on Tuesday (10/20/2020), Luthfie said, a subpoena would soon be sent to Terawan.
“If the summons is also not answered or heeded by the Minister of Health, a legal action will be forced to request the right to a judicial review before the Supreme Court (MA),” said Luthfie.

“The objective is that PMK No. 24/2020 be declared null or not applicable to the public and order the Minister of Health to revoke it immediately,” he continued.
According to Luthfie, PMK No. 24/2020 is full of problems abuse of power.
Since the Minister of Health, as a radiology specialist, is considered by professional physicians and dentists to give priority to fellow radiology physicians over other colleagues in medical services using equipment with ionizing and non-ionizing radiation modalities as regulated in PMK No. 24/2020.
“We have carefully studied PMK No. 24/2020 and assessed that it is full of irregularities and conflicts with the Medical Practice Act and other laws,” Luthfie said.

“We also very much regret its publication because it has caused shock and even tends to divide among professional doctors at a time when the condition of our country is facing the Covid-19 pandemic,” he continued.
In addition, Luthfie revealed that the granting of power to his party was taken after previously the leadership of the professional and collegiate organization presented a Request for Revocation of PMK Number 24/2020 to the Minister of Health, including through a letter dated on October 5, 2020.
However, to date there has been no response from the Minister of Health, Terawan.
Muhammad Luthfie Hakim and his fellow advocates have now formed the PMK Judicial Review Rights Advocates Coalition Number 24/2020.
