The belief was expressed by Trena and Treni’s biological father, Enceng Dedi (59).

Water also remembers that her two daughters were still babies.

Meanwhile, his family still lives in Ambon, Maluku province.

An old man gave Water a suggestion.

“So a suggestion from someone who considers himself elder while in Maluku, if Trena and Treni get together, they are worried that they will die,” Enceng said.

Water became convinced of this person’s words due to the experience of his wife’s brother who had lost twins.

“You see, my wife’s sister has a history of giving birth to twins and dying. Out of fear, we also entrust twins at the age of two months,” he said.

Contact lost during the Maluku riots

The Trena Treni twins separated around 1999 when riots broke out in Maluku.

Water, who is a transmigrant, must return to his village in Tasikmalaya, West Java.

However, they lost contact with the neighbors who were caring for their daughter, Treni.

“When they returned to their hometown in Tasikmalaya, Treni and Ms. Rini lost contact. In the meantime, Trena in Garut could be picked up again due to its location near Tasikmalaya,” he said.

The person who attended him apparently took the train to Malang, East Java.

Despite trying to find Treni with limited funds, the family could not find her whereabouts.

Trena lives with her biological parents. Meanwhile, Treni has been cared for by her nanny since she was a child.

During their separation, Treni grew up not knowing she had twins.

“Because my mother’s name doesn’t have a daughter either and she doesn’t want to lose, that’s why I keep this secret a secret,” Treni said.

In addition, the biological parents and their adoptive parents lost contact.

On the other hand, her biological parents have told Trena that she has a twin.

Trena, in fact, has also been able to find Treni.

“He (Trena) once looked for me on YouTube, on social media and even on national television, but he couldn’t find it and now we meet through TikTok,” he said.

Encounter on TikTok, from being praised by neighbors

Trena and Treni grew up with different habits.

Treni often makes videos on her TikTok account. But not with Trena. As a homemaker, Trena is busy taking care of her children and her husband.

Decades after breaking up, one day Trena’s neighbors congratulate Trena on a video on TikTok that Treni actually made.

“Trena’s neighbors praise Trena ‘how they make TikTok good’ even though Trena rarely makes videos,” Treni said of the start of their meeting.

When she heard that at first, Trena thought it was just a person with a face similar to hers.

“Then there were three people who told Trena that someone made a video like her. Then Trena’s neighbors checked my social networks, because I also sell online, so my contacts are on the list.” Treni said.

“So the brothers and Trena contacted everyone,” Treni continued.

Treni was scared and thought they were the authors of the fraud.

However, when Trena guessed the name of the person who was caring for Treni, he was shocked because Trena’s guess was so accurate.

Treni had time to check Trena’s Facebook. “When I checked it, it was very similar because of the style of the photo, the shape of the veil and others,” she said.

The biological and adoptive parents have finally communicated.

Treni is happy because she can meet her brothers through cyberspace.

“What I think now is that I am happy, so happy that I cannot express my joy,” he said.
